I know, designing things is the fun part, but what separates you from other designerds is the way you pitch yourself or your concept to others. It should be just as fun, and if you do to it the correct way, I promise it will be! Today we practiced our pitch for our presentation next week of our stop motion video. One thing we notice about student designerds (who are fully invested in what they love to do) is forget the importance of the presentation or the pitch. It's a make it or break it to the client, your professor, or in your interview!
If you aren't having fun during your pitch, chances are your audience might not be either. You must think not only about the design of your finished product, but also the design of your finished pitch!
1. Interact with the audience, and be your authentic self!
2. If your stop motion video has candy canes in it, why would you NOT bring candy canes for your audience?! (No not bribe, be authentic!)
3. Practice! We practiced for so long today, Olivia finally agreed to stop because I started stumbling on my words and we couldn't stop laughing.
